The Air India Modern School was established in 1958 by the Air India Staff Colony Association with a vision to provide quality education to the children of their members and neighborhood. The School was recognized way back in 1962 when the Primary section was aided by BMC and the Secondary by the Government of Maharashtra. The School has an un-aided Pre-Primary section managed by School Managing Committee.
The first milestone was achieved when the first batch of students appeared for SSC Exams in 1971-1972 with excellent results.
The Air India Modern School is a Privately aided School. The Primary section is aided by BMC, Secondary section by Government of Maharashtra and Pre-Primary Section is run by the School Managing Committee registered under the Maharashtra Charitable Trust.
